Ayang Rinpoche

Ayang Rinpoche is also the founder of two monasteries, in cluding Thupten Shedup Janchub Ling at Bylakupee, Chogyab, and Ayang Tulku, Ayang being the name of a 435-year-old monastery in Kham (eastern Tibet) which is a branch of the Drikung main monastery.Perhaps no Tibetan lama is more identified with the transmission of Phowa to the West than His Eminence Ayang Rinpoche.

The annual 100,000 Tsog Offering Puja for Achi Chökyi Drölma, the wisdom protector deity of the Drikung Kagyu lineage, will be held at Ayang Rinpoche's monastery in Bylakuppe May 5 through May 11.

Achi Chokyi Drolma was the great grandmother of Lord Jigten Sumgon, the founder of the Drikung Kagyu lineage, and an emanation of Vajrayogini and Tara. Beginning at a young age she had great compassion and always practiced Tara, and taught the Tara prayer for everyone in the village. Read more about Achi here.

Those who would like to make an auspicious connection with Achi and the Tsok Offering Puja may make a tax-deductible donation by sending a check to our address below or by donating online. You may include names of loved ones, living or deceased, for the prayer list until May 10 at 5 PM Pacific time. Donations are welcome at any time.

Wishing you all good health and many blessings,

Becky
